Harrison's Birthday Story: My Labor and Delivery Video

Wow! It has been a very long time since my last post. 17 weeks ago our son Harrison was born and ever since then it has been very busy around here! Now that I have been a mom for a whopping 4 months I want to begin sharing things that I do and have done with Harrison including everything from cloth diapering to scheduling. I didn't want to start writing about these things until this video was finished and now it is so I am very excited to start writing!

When I was pregnant, I was elated. It was the absolute most exciting, most wonderful, most glorious experience in the world. I know that people may think that I am not being truthful or am exaggerating considering the many unpleasantries that go along with pregnancy but I am not. Yes I had heartburn a few times and yes I struggled to put my socks on towards the end (which was actually more comical than annoying considering I had to lay on the bed and have my husband stretch them over my giant pregnant calves while I lay on the bed like an animal that had eaten too much!), and yes, out of context those things would have been annoying and complain-worthy, but I guess I just knew why I was experiencing those things and I never forgot it. I was having heartburn because there was a tiny baby growing inside me. I couldn't put my own socks on because I was about to be a mother to a beautiful, precious baby boy at any moment! The more symptoms I had, good or bad, the more I felt like a mom. It really was wonderful and I cannot WAIT for the next pregnancy! But for now, I am going to forget about the next pregnancy and enjoy my time with my family and our beautiful baby boy, Harrison Gregory. Well, at least for the next 18 months. Doctor's orders ;)
